Out of Commission

So I haven't been able to post lately because I've kind of been out of commission. A little over a week ago, I had surgery to remove a ganglion cyst from my left wrist. I've been really sore and was on some major pain killers for a while, but things are much better now.
This picture is right after I was able to take my splint and bandaging off. I get the stitches out this week. It's been kind of annoying not being able to really play with Lucy like I want to and be able to hold her and pick her up but it'll be so much better in the long run! The cyst was really painful and now it shouldn't come back! Yeah!
As you can see, Lucy's hair is pretty much OUT OF CONTROL!!! It's like this all of the time. She moves so much while she's sleeping and when she wakes up, this is what her hair looks like. It's hilarious! Lucy is getting so big and funny. She is so much more vocal now and will certainly let us know when she wants something or wants to let her opinion be known. She still isn't crawling, she's a stubborn little thing. But she loves to stand! She wants to stand all the time. I really think she's going to walk before she ever crawls. She tries to walk and will let go of our fingers but she doesn't have very good balance so she just falls over. Oh the joys of a child finding their independence! It's just so much fun watching her discover all sorts of new things. My baby girl is turning into not so much of a baby girl!

Soon To Be Elder Wing

So my little brother Reagan will be headed to the MTC on Feb. 25th. He's going to the Seoul South Korea West Mission. Craziness! Anyways, he has asked me to be in charge of keeping a blog for him while he's gone. (Probably cause I'm the only one in my family that has one of my own haha) Here is the address :http://elderwing.blogspot.com/ in case any of you want to keep updated on him until he leaves and while he is out. I love you Bud and I'm so excited and proud of you!

It's About Time!

So I finally finished painting my house! Well, for now anyways haha. I love it! I needed color so badly. When we moved in, the whole house was all the same color. It wasn't bad, but after a while it just got old. So with lots of help from my mom, brother, sis-in-law, and John, we finally got it finished!

This is the front room...and Lucy
Another view of the front room, the front entry wayThis is the accent wall in the front wall with our family pictures on it.
I got this gorgeous picture of Christ and a wall quote to go with it. I love it! It's probably one of my favorite things in this room. Now for the kitchen, Another view of the kitchen. I love this wall! I love how bright this color makes this room.Love it!
Lucy's room. We actually painted her room when we moved in, but I don't think I've put any pictures up since then.I just love how bright and playful her room is!
I'm glad that I have this much done! Next project, my bedroom...

Hello 2009!

I can't believe that we are already in 2009! This year has gone by so fast and so much has happened! We started out this year with me being 5 months pregnant with Lucy and living in our tiny little 3rd floor apartment. At the end of April, we closed on our house and 3 days later Lucy was born. We have loved our home and our neighborhood and ward. We have felt so welcomed and we know that this is where we were supposed to end up. In August we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary. I am so thankful for John and all that he has done for me this year. He is simply amazing and I love him so much.

Watching Lucy grow this last 8 months has been the most rewarding experience in my life. She truly is the glue that keeps our little family together. She is so big now and becoming so much more independent. I love it! I am so excited to continue to watch her grow this coming year.

It has been a whirlwind year but we are so grateful for everything that has happened to us. It has been amazing and we are so excited to see what this year holds for us.
