All Better
So Monday Lucy had her surgery to remove a cyst (hopefully benign) that she was born with on her tongue. We had to be at Primary Children's at 6 AM so we were up really early. (I don't think John has yet recovered.) I was so happy cause Lucy was in a good mood while we were waiting so that made things a little easier. We were able to walk with her to the door of the operating room then the anesthesiologist took her from there. The whole procedure only took about 30 minutes. After the doctor came and talked to us to ell us everything went good, we were able to go to recovery and see her. When we got there, John went to the bed and just said "Hi Lucy" and she lost it. Absolutely screaming! The nurse had me pick her up to calm her and try to give her a bottle cause she hadn't eaten since about 9 PM the night before. As she was eating, I noticed some blood coming from her mouth. I asked the nurse if it was normal and apparently it wasn't. The bleeding got worse and she was crying so hard so while I held Lucy, the nurse had to hold a towel on her tongue to try to stop the bleeding. After about 10 minutes, we finally got it to stop. It was so sad. I was crying right along with Lucy. Once we got everything under control and got her to eat something we were finally able to go home. She has been a little loopy with the pain medicine but she's getting so much better and getting back to her normal, happy little self. I'm so glad that we were able to do this before she was old enough to remember it. We'll find out in a couple of weeks if the cyst was benign or not. We're pretty sure it's not, but we're keeping our fingers crossed nonetheless. Thanks to everyone for the prayers. We definitely felt them all!

I didnt know that. Im happy she is feeling better. Keep me informed! She'll be fine, keep yourself sane. Its hard for moms to go through stuff like this, usually harder on us than on the kids.
Oh my I am so sorry to hear about that.. .I am glad things are ok.. I am sure it was a good choice to get it done young!!! Must have been hard seeing her hurt so much though as she is normally such a cute happy baby!
I'm glad the surgery went well. I agree that it's good to have it done when she can't remember it. I'm sure it was a lot harder for you, than it was for her. I'm sorry you had to go through that. You're a good mom though; I'm sure you'll be blessed, and Lucy is going to be just fine! Merry Christmas!
Hey I hope everything goes well! We still need to get together! Let me know if you need anything!
